See, the Menders in Abyssclan don't speak to Those Above (Abyssclan's Starclan, so to speak, but stronger). They only heal the wounded and heal the sick, which is seen as weak by the other cats of the Clan;
If you cannot fight, you are worthless.

PS: The name comes from the fact that blood is always under his claws.
